Hey guys! So I wore this outfit on a random day and then ended up going to 230 Fifth, which is a rooftop bar/ club in the city. The view was absolutely amazing, the Empire State Building was literally 50 feet away from the rooftop. The atmosphere was good but I wouldn't recommend going there if your not with a group of people and getting bottle service. It was vey much a "no bottle no entrance" kind of place. Anyways, I got the top and skirt from Urban Outfitters at the beginning of the summer and the shirt was $10 and the shirt was $5! The shoes are Steven Madden, which I also got on sale for $40. They are surprisingly very comfortable and I'm not good on heels. I did a video on the look I had on that day but I haven't edited it or put it up yet, let me know if you want to see it. The pictures don't do it justice since I have a sucky camera and I don't know how to work with the settings, but the cheeks look soooo good (Stereo Rose MSF from MAC) and the eyes were much more vibrant in person. Hope everyone is having a good end-of-summer and/or school.

Nail Polish Haul

Posted by Diana at 5:56 PM 2 comments

So in the past week or so I bought a bunch of new nail polished. First let me start off by saying that I have been searching high and low for Essie's Mint Candy Apple. I went to Ricky's about 100x and finally on my break one day, I stroll in after giving up and there it is!! I grabbed it like it was the last one on the rack (which it wasn't). I have also been searching for Essie's Haute as Hello that I found the SAME day at the SAME store!! I had actually found it the day before while I was browsing Duane Reade with my boyfriend but I was still mad that I went to that store a million times and the time I actually have the item I'm looking for, they stock up! Anyways, here is my Nail polish haul:

Right to left:
Prevail- Coney Island Sweetheart
OPI- Funky Dunkey
Sally Hansen- Commander in Chic (FAVORITE)
Essie- Haute as Hello
Essie- Mint Candy Apple
Essie- Memerize

So I decided to take a picture in front of my house on this Beautifull New York day. I'm sporting the bun that I love and dress from T.J Max that I found in May. The braided belt is from Urban Outfitters and flower flats from Sears and finally, my bag is from Aldo.

So I decided to try out the Oval Nail trend along with bright red nail polish. You can't really tell that I have the Oval nail thing going on but trust me, its oval! The ring is from my mothers jewelry box so I wouldn't be able to tell you where its from. Below is a picture of the nail color and let me warn you first, my camera pretty much sucks at taking close ups, I can't figure it out! so everything is pretty blurry but either way, the nail polish is by Essie- RED NOUVEAU.

Diana's Style

Posted by Diana at 5:07 PM 0 comments

Hey guys, so this past weekend I spent in the city, like I usually do, but I really loved my outfit. I'm wearing a dress from Target and it is so thin and comfy which was perfect for this hot sunny day! (I know what your thinking.. Target AGAIN?? and my answer is YES! I love Target!) My earing are small pearls from Express, sunglasses are Balenciage and my crossover bag is Michael Kors. I'm also really loving the high bun trend! It's perfect for a hot day and looks adorable! Hope your having a good summer and don't forget that just because it's really hot and icky outside doesn't mean you can't look cute and be comfy at the same time!

Hey guys! so as you can see I'm posting like a madwoman!! but anyways, I saw Toy Story 3 when it came out and here's my outfit! My romper is from Target, shoes from Aldo (last year) and a Forever 21 bracelet and earrings. So to be completely honest, I did not watch the Toy Story movies when I was a kid. Idk why but I was never really interested in watching it, I actually remember thinking "this movie looks so stupid!" I was more into my barbies than boy toys lol. But anyways, when my boyfriend heard Toy Story 3 was coming out and found out that I never saw it, he forced me to watch it a couple of months ago and I fell in LOVE! And I'm happy to announce that Toy Story 3 was no disappointment! I LOVEEEDD it!! I can't wait till it comes out on DVD so I can watch it again! Before we went to the movie we went to my boyfriends cousins graduation party which is why I got pretty dressed up. Here are some pics of me about to go in and watch the movie and thennn we hit traffic -_- I HATE traffic, good thing there was good scenery (the skyline is on the right which I forgot to take a pic of). Hope your having a good summer!

Shoe Rack

Posted by Diana at 4:22 PM 0 comments

Hey guys! I, like many of you, have a tiny obsession with shoes. The problem with that is that I've moved and my house is still under construction so I don't have a closet yet and that means nowhere to put my shoes! So my shoes are kept in bins and more bins and more bins and I had absolutely no idea what I own! so I found this 50 pair shoe rack on Target.com and went to work! I absolutely love it! It isn't big enough to put all my shoes in but it's good enough for all my important shoes. Here are some pics of the rack pre-assembled and after! Now I can see all my pretty shoes and pair them with my cute outfits!

Summer Days

Hey guys! I just wanted to give a quick outfit of the day. I got this romper from target and its SO comfy! Unfortunately I got it in the spring time and haven't seen it since BUT there are PLENTY of cute comfy rompers out there. I paired it with a GUESS belt, which you can hardly see but its really cute, and some cute sandals that I have no idea where my mother got from. My earrings are from Annie Sez, I got them a year ago and my favorite glasses by Balenciaga. Here I'm sitting on a rail right in front of a small dog park that me and my boyfriend love going to. We usually just stand and watch the dogs play and make pretend we know what they're thinking (yea, we're that weird couple lol). Oh! and I finally got the Eos lip balm, LOVES IT! and my boyfriend seems to like it too lol he's silly. Anyways, hope you guys are having a great summer!

21st Birthday

Dress from Bloomingdales

So I turned 21 on May 29th and I couldn't have had a better birthday celebration. I didn't want to get too crazy like most 21st birthdays, I wanted to actually remember the night. Since my bday took place during Memorial Day weekend, I had 4 days to celebrate, and that I did! So anyways, I decided to post 3 pictures, one from Saturday night when I went to this lounge called No Malice Palace, hich btw played awesome old school music that I love. The next one is of my boyfriend giving me a birthday lapdance (he's so cute). I forgot what I did Sunday? I think I was just with the boyfriend, and on Monday my parents had a BBQ party for me in my backyard, which I posted a pic down below of me and the boyfriend. All in all it was everything I needed and more. Enjoy the pics!

Water for Elephants

Posted by Diana at 9:53 AM 0 comments

So I just finished reading Water for Elephants a little while ago, and I'm not going to lie, the first time I picked it up I couldn't get into it. I decided to give it a run one more time and absolutely LOVED it!! The thing about this book is that it's not a novel for everyone. I feel that it is more for the older crowd, I'd say about 20s and above, definitely not for teens. I was 20 when I read this (I just turned 21 2 weeks ago). This novel gave me all the more reason to hate the circus, I will never allow myself or my children, in the future, to EVER support the circus, they are impeccably cruel and I am the #1 animals rights activist. But other than being upset about reading about what happens to these poor animals, the story line is amazing. The book is narrated by the main character, Jacob, while he is at a nursing home and is about 90 or 93 at this point (he's not exactly sure how old he is) and his life when he was a college student, who looses both of his parents in a car accident and runs away from his life and jumps on to a train that happens to be a circus train, and the rest goes on from there. I don't want to spoil anything because I truly believe that everyone should read this book. Also, I just found out that it is turning into a movie and Reese Witherspoon is going to be playing a huge role!!!! Robert Patterson is Jacob, which I'm not too happy about because I hate his acting. AND Jacob is a redhead and they didn't even die Patterson's hair to fit the description UGH. Anyways, I'm not too sure that this novel should have been made into a movie, but I will definitely be watching it and giving you guys my review.

So I want to know how many of you read Water for Elephants and for those of you who have, did you love it as much as I did?? Leave a comment!

Fab Fashion

JLo looks great from top to.... knee? Those shoes are hideous!!! Her feet look huge and flat. Also, I think this dress is able to stand alone without trying to add any color to it, the shoulders do it all! Overall she looks ehhh okay, I love her hair and her dress but the shoes really killed it.

Hellooo lovvaaa. Those Christian Louboutins are to DIE for! I really don't even give a ___ about her dress, which btw is ehhhh, but her shoes, DAMN! I want! I Need!! I swear she could walk out with sweats and just those shoes and look fabulous!!! Can you tell how much I love the shoes?

So I'm going to let you guys in on a little secret: I am pretty close to being obsessed with Kim Kardashian. My name is Diana and I am a Kardash-ohlic. All of their style, well I should really say Monica Rose' style (which btw is my favorite stylist right now), is A-may-zing. I love it, they an absolutely do no wrong!! Needless to say, this outfit is gorgeous, it makes Kim look thin and edgy, LOVE the sequence and she always pairs it off with the perfect Louboutins. Btw can anyone tell me who makes this dress? I can't find it!!

So here's Kimmy again (yes I called her Kimmy...) looking nothing less than glamourous. I think I love her so much because her makeup is ALWAYS on point and her "casual" outfits are anything but casual but still wearable!! I would love to be able to walk around in 5 inch Louboutins all day and my feet not fall off. So yea, once again I don't know what she's wearing so if any of you know, feel free to tell me!

Kristin Cavallari in Alice + Olivia. So if you've read my last post, you already know I LOVE Alice + Olivia so Obviously I love this outfit. I really love how Kristin paired it with a long cardigan making it a daytime casual, yet cute, outfit! I'm a little iffy on the burgundy belt but whatevvzz.

Lea Michele in Herve Ledge. If you don't know (I didn't know lol) shes from the show Glee, which is apparently a major hit. I really hate shows with singing so I never gave it a shot and doubt I ever will. Anyways, I've seen her on the red carpet a couple of times and in either Elle or Bazaar magazine and loved what she was wearing. Needless to say, I adore her dress and the simplicity ofher shoes.

Rachel Bilson in Roland Mouret. I was contemplating whether I thought I should add this to my "fab fashion" or not. I decided I liked it if she would have opted for no stockings and the black belt. The shoes would have been cute alone. This dress is just way too girly for that belt, maybe something a little softer, not quite sure, and those stockings just have to go!! Other than that she looks cute and I like the dress minus the belt and stockings.

Scarlett Johansson in Armani Prive. LOVEE the dress but what's up with the shoes?? I feel like these stylist can find a gorgeous dress but then completely forget about the shoes, or just don't care! I'm pretty sure I could have found a gorgeous pair of Louboutins that would have
gone perfectly with this dress. The first thing that popped into my head when I saw this dress was Kate Hudson. Does this dress not remind you of a mini-version of Kate's Marchesa gown?I put a pic of Kate's just so you guys can see the comparison. Of course Kate looks 10x better, but Scarlett is still fabulous!

Selma Blair in Alexander Wang. I have no idea where Selma came from (I didn't even know that was her name) but that dress is to DIE for! I absolutely LOVE it. Her haircut is a catastrophe but she certainly made up for it with her dress! The shoes were perfect with it, the clutch is perfect. Perfect Perfect Perfect! Love Love Love!! Need I say more?

So I know I've overwhelmed my page with my Fab Fashion posts, but this is pretty much what I do on a regular basis, I read my tabloids and magazines and look at outfits! Now, these are all the ones that I loved, but there are plentyyy that I don't like at all. I want to make a separate post for the ones I dislike but I need a catchy name for it, any suggestions? There's definitely going to be more Fab Fashion posts, along with other posts that might not be related to fashion and beauty at all! See you all in my next post!

Fab Fashion

So this is JLo's outfit for the US magazine Hot Hollywood Bash. She's wearing Georges Chakra Couture dress. I'm not completely thrilled with it, I mean it looks okay because JLo is wearing it, not to say that JLo can do no wrong, but with her body, pretty much anything goes. This dress definitely shows off her curves but I'm not sure if I like it for this event, she should have went for "sexy" rather than "cute".

Paris and Nikki Hilton at the US Hollywood Bash. Paris is wearingRebecca Minkoff and Nikki is wearing Alice+ Olivia. I'm absolutely loving Nikki's outfit as I am a HUGE fan of Alice + Olivia, they're like the semi-affordable designer brand for an average girl (like me :}) and Paris looks fab as well. I'm not a fan of Paris so I was really surprised to see her in something that actually flatters her body and not over the top trashy.

Stephanie Pratt is actually wearing something fabulous?? SHOCK! I honestly do not like her style at all but this Jen Awad dress is absolutely Gorgeous! The shoes could have been a little better, but hey, its a start!

I have been loving Demi Lovato's style lately. Who's her new stylist? I'm not exactly sure who she is wearing but the pieces are paired perfectly and those shoes are fabulous! I love this look because its so simple yet chic. I can definitely try re-create this look with a trip to H&M!

Daytime red done right! The nude pumps were a perfect match to make this daytime-wearable. All she needs is a belt to transform this look from day to night. I love looks that can easily be worn for different events by just adding a simple accessory.

Gwyneth Paltrow looks great in this Giorgio Armani Jacquard shorts suit. It looks sort of platinum in the pic but its actually gold. The Gianvito Rossi booties make it edgy but still chic. I have recently been
loving Rossi shoes, they make any outfit look fab. The clutch is Christian Louboutin and is the perfect finishing piece to this outfit. I wonder who her stylist is? She's been killing the red carpet at almost every event!

I'm finally going to start updating this blog as much as possible. This week is finals week and the following tuesday I'M DONE! I hate finals week I get really stressed out but all I keep telling myself is "it's almost over, it's almost over."
Other than that, I'm thinking of joining the "blog world" with the "Project 365" which is where you take a picture(s) everyday for 365 days and upload it on your blog (obviously) and basically it just tells a little about what you did that day. I think of it like the "day in the life" videos on youtube but in blog form. My life isn't that interesting so I'm not really sure I'd be able to take a picture EVERYday but I'll see. My life basically consists of school, work, and boyfriend. But now that it's almost summer and I will be turning 21 soon (May 29 ahh!) this summer should be interesting since I am in the city 6/7 days of the week. New York is fun at any age, but at 21 where you can get into any bar (without worrying about whether your fake ID will work hehe) its gonna be pretty effing amazing.
Anyways, I hope you enjoyed my Fab Fashion and my little update!

Spring Turquoise Look

Posted by Diana at 5:50 PM 0 comments

So I did a Spring look a couple of weeks ago that I think would look great on just about anyone. I find that it is sometimes hard for dark skinned girls, like me, to pull off bright colors. Although I may not look so dark in these pictures, I am pretty dark, the lights just wash me out. Anyways, I found a cool "trick" if thats what you want to call it, to be able to pull off bright looks and not look like a clown lol. The trick is to add brown! brown with ANYTHING will make it wearable! The pop of color should just be on the eyelid, do NOT, I repeat, DO NOT apply it anywhere above your crease, if you do, that's where the clown comes out! Also, don't go too dark with the brown because you only want one part of your makeup to stand out so stick with light browns. Here is a video and some pics of me wearing blue/turquoise colors.

Here's a list of what I used (of what I remember) and all are MAC eyeshadows . The colors are also mentioned in the video.

Soft Brown
Too Dolly (Hello Kitty "Too Dolly" Palette)
Stately Black (Hello Kitty "Too Dolly" Palette)

Here's the video!

Introduction

Posted by Diana at 1:51 PM 0 comments
So this is my first time being a "blogger." I've been following other peoples blogs for about 6 months now and I have finally decided to join the club. Let me first start off by letting you know some info about me. My name is Diana and I am 20 years old. I am a business major, but I love fashion and makeup. Since my interests are fashion and makeup, lets take a guess what this blog will be about?? haha. I like to think I have pretty good taste and am pretty skilled at doing makeup, on myself and on others, so I will definitely be posting pictures of my work as well as fashion pictures/articles with my opinions. I will try updating this blog as often as possible and hope that you enjoy reading.
