So I turned 21 on May 29th and I couldn't have had a better birthday celebration. I didn't want to get too crazy like most 21st birthdays, I wanted to actually remember the night. Since my bday took place during Memorial Day weekend, I had 4 days to celebrate, and that I did! So anyways, I decided to post 3 pictures, one from Saturday night when I went to this lounge called No Malice Palace, hich btw played awesome old school music that I love. The next one is of my boyfriend giving me a birthday lapdance (he's so cute). I forgot what I did Sunday? I think I was just with the boyfriend, and on Monday my parents had a BBQ party for me in my backyard, which I posted a pic down below of me and the boyfriend. All in all it was everything I needed and more. Enjoy the pics!

Water for Elephants

So I just finished reading Water for Elephants a little while ago, and I'm not going to lie, the first time I picked it up I couldn't get into it. I decided to give it a run one more time and absolutely LOVED it!! The thing about this book is that it's not a novel for everyone. I feel that it is more for the older crowd, I'd say about 20s and above, definitely not for teens. I was 20 when I read this (I just turned 21 2 weeks ago). This novel gave me all the more reason to hate the circus, I will never allow myself or my children, in the future, to EVER support the circus, they are impeccably cruel and I am the #1 animals rights activist. But other than being upset about reading about what happens to these poor animals, the story line is amazing. The book is narrated by the main character, Jacob, while he is at a nursing home and is about 90 or 93 at this point (he's not exactly sure how old he is) and his life when he was a college student, who looses both of his parents in a car accident and runs away from his life and jumps on to a train that happens to be a circus train, and the rest goes on from there. I don't want to spoil anything because I truly believe that everyone should read this book. Also, I just found out that it is turning into a movie and Reese Witherspoon is going to be playing a huge role!!!! Robert Patterson is Jacob, which I'm not too happy about because I hate his acting. AND Jacob is a redhead and they didn't even die Patterson's hair to fit the description UGH. Anyways, I'm not too sure that this novel should have been made into a movie, but I will definitely be watching it and giving you guys my review.

So I want to know how many of you read Water for Elephants and for those of you who have, did you love it as much as I did?? Leave a comment!
